Booking Policy – Elise Gemmell Studio

Thank you for choosing Elise Gemmell Studio. The following booking policy applies to both commissioned artwork and photography sessions.

1. Booking Confirmation
All bookings must be confirmed in writing (via email, website form, or agreed message).
A booking is only secured once the required deposit has been received.

2. Deposit Requirement

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all commissions and photography bookings.

  • No booking dates or commission slots will be held without a deposit.

  • Work or session planning will not begin until the deposit has been paid.

3. Pricing & Quotes

  • All pricing is quoted individually.

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

  • Prices vary depending on factors such as artwork size, level of detail, number of animals, session duration, travel requirements, and overall complexity.

4. Payment Terms

  • The remaining balance is due:

    • Commissions: Upon completion, prior to delivery or collection

    • Photography: Prior to or on the day of the session (unless otherwise agreed)

  • Final images or artwork will not be released until full payment has been received.

5. Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling is permitted with reasonable notice.

  • For photography sessions, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required.

  • One reschedule is allowed; additional changes may require a new booking and deposit.

6. Cancellations

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If a booking is cancelled by the client, the deposit will be retained.

  • If Elise Gemmell Studio must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered or a full refund of the deposit will be provided.

7. Timeframes & Availability

  • Commission timelines vary depending on size, detail, and current workload.

  • Photography session availability will be discussed at the time of booking.

  • Estimated timeframes will be provided but are not guaranteed.

8. Client Responsibilities

  • Commissions: Clients must provide clear, high-quality reference images.

  • Photography: Clients must ensure subjects (animals, locations, etc.) are ready and accessible at the agreed time.

  • Travel or location-specific requirements should be discussed in advance.

9. Weather & External Factors (Photography)
Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to unsuitable weather conditions. This will be decided at the discretion of Elise Gemmell Studio to ensure the best possible results.

10. Copyright & Usage
Elise Gemmell Studio retains full copyright of all artwork and photography.
Images and artworks may not be reproduced or used commercially without written permission.
The artist/photographer reserves the right to use images for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed.

By booking a commission or photography session, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy.
