Refunds & Cancellations Policy – Elise Gemmell Studio

Please read the following policy carefully before making a purchase or booking.

Deposits

  • All deposits (25%) made for commissions and photography bookings are non-refundable.

  • Deposits secure your booking, time, and/or commission slot and cover initial planning and preparation.

Cancellations (Client-Initiated)

  • If you choose to cancel your commission or photography session, your deposit will be retained.

  • If work has already commenced on a commission, additional costs may be charged depending on the stage of progress.

  • No refunds will be given for completed artworks or delivered photography images.

Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling is permitted with reasonable notice:

    • Photography sessions: Minimum of 48 hours’ notice required

  • One reschedule is allowed per booking. Additional changes may require a new deposit.

Cancellations (Elise Gemmell Studio)

  • In the unlikely event that Elise Gemmell Studio must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered.

  • If rescheduling is not suitable, a full refund of any payments made (including deposit) will be provided.

Weather Policy (Photography)

  • Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to unsuitable weather conditions.

  • This decision will be made to ensure the highest quality outcome and safety of all involved.

  • Weather-related rescheduling does not incur additional fees.

Refunds – Artwork & Prints

  • Due to the custom and original nature of artwork, refunds are not offered once work has commenced or the piece has been completed.

  • Prints are not eligible for refunds due to change of mind.

Damaged Items

  • If your artwork or print arrives damaged, please contact Elise Gemmell Studio within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the damage and packaging.

  • A replacement, repair, or partial refund may be offered depending on the situation.

Non-Payment

  • Final images or completed artworks will not be delivered until full payment has been received.

  • Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking or forfeiture of the deposit.
